Official Speedtest.net Server
Statistics (1 Minute / Update)
Welcome to the speedtest service of wilhelm.tel. While its main purpose is to serve our access network customers a platform to validate their available bandwidth, we happily like to serve users from all over the world. This server is directly backbone-connected via redundant 50Gbit (2x 25 Gbit). The maximum single-thread performance is 25 Gbit/s. Using multiple threads one can achieve up to 50 Gbit/s.
Files are served out of /files.
dd if=/dev/zero
wget -4 -O /dev/null http://speedtest.wtnet.de/files/1000mb.bin
wget -6 -O /dev/null http://speedtest.wtnet.de/files/1000mb.bin
dd if=/dev/urandom
wget -4 -O /dev/null http://speedtest.wtnet.de/files/1000mb.rbin
wget -6 -O /dev/null http://speedtest.wtnet.de/files/1000mb.rbin
We encourage our customers to validate their bandwidth using iPerf3. Speedtest.net and Breitbandmessung.de are somewhat odd.
iperf3 -c speedtest.wtnet.de -p 5200 -P 10 -4 (for IPv4)
iperf3 -c speedtest.wtnet.de -p 5209 -P 10 -6 (for IPv6)
-R reverse mode (server sends, client receives)
iperf3 -c speedtest.wtnet.de -p 5200 -P 10 -4 -R (for IPv4)
iperf3 -c speedtest.wtnet.de -p 5209 -P 10 -6 -R (for IPv6)
Ports available for testing are 5200 to 5209
Special ports available are 1080, 3128, 1197, 1198. We've opened these ports to make you beeing able to detect a port based bandwidth throtteling by your ISP. Our fundamental position is to never throttle any ports or services at wilhelm.tel at any time at all.
